Low-fat Brownies

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Spray an 8-inch square baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

2. In a medium size bowl mix flour, cocoa, sugar and baking powder until well combined.

3. In a large bowl whisk egg whites to not quite the soft peak stage. Gently stir in applesauce and vanilla.

4. Gradually add flour mixture and stir until well mixed.

5. Bake in oven for 35-40 minutes, until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove and cool on wire rack.
