Sr. Software Engineer - Development and maintenance of large-scale J2EE application. Technologies used included Java/J2EE, JSPs, EJBs(3.0), Beehive/Struts, Hibernate, JavaScript/AJAX/Scriptaculous, JBoss, JBoss Drools, Oracle9i, XML, various SOA related tools, Perl scripting and Ada. Primarily developed on Windows XP. CM via Subversion and ClearCase; Agile development methodology. Worked directly with customers for requirements gathering, product presentations and application support.
America Online, Inc. -- September 2005 to November 2006
Systems Programmer - Support, development and maintenance of software tools for system monitoring and metrics collection in a large scale, production server environment; platforms supported include HP-UX, Linux, Solaris, Windows, MacOS X and Tandem/NSK. Product Support Engineer - Worked in the SGI Global Product Support group, specializing in graphics issues. Worked with escalations from field offices worldwide as well as the SGI Technical Support Center in the US. Worked with engineering to diagnose bugs and create patches where needed; resolved customer problems with SGI graphics and provided workarounds; worked with 3rd party vendors on issues involving interaction with SGI products and 3rd party products. Involved with planning support for future products and reviewing documentation. Focused on issues involving Xwindows, Xt, Motif(IRIX IM), IRIS GL, OpenGL and desktop SGI graphics hardware. Supported C/C++ compilers and related tools. Worked on some CGI scripts (Perl) for company-internal tools. Completed Advanced C++ and Java training courses.

Installed, upgraded and maintained hardware as well as software. Strong troubleshooting skills. Also worked directly with users, performed network configuration and troubleshooting tasks. Worked as a contractor from Taos Mountain Software.
